Studies ecology of mycorrhizal fungi in soil environments, their role in soil stabilization and agricultural productivity, fluxes of mineral nutrients and carbon between the atmosphere, plant and soil, develops new approaches to cultivation of rhizosphere and hyphosphere microbes and studies fungal adaptation to high concentrations of heavy metals in soil.
